Junior Estimator

We have an amazing opportunity for a Junior Estimator in our Edmonton office! You will support our Estimating Team on projects across Alberta. We are proud to have an especially collaborative team and we’re looking for a recent graduate who has a strong interest in estimating and is eager to learn and develop their personal and professional skills.

Responsibilities will include:

• Learn department standard estimating procedures and metrics.
• Roll out bid notices to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Update database of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Solicit subcontractors pricing.
• Develop trade relationships.
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Assist with tender closings.
• Assist with organization of bid estimates and budget reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Recent graduate from Construction Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering or equivalent program.
• Strong interest in the construction industry.
• Field experience will be an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to details.
• Proficient with variety of software programs including Microsoft Excel, Word and Project.
