The Windermere Clean Car Wash is a 28,000 sq ft one-storey building consisting of 26 wand wash bays, a pet wash, and retail area to serve the fast-growing area. The structure combines pre-engineered steel and conventional framing methods, along with an elevated parapet and hidden gutter system.
The sanitary collection system consists of six 2,000 gallon precast double compartment sumps, two single compartment sumps, and over 450 feet of trench drain. Extra precaution was taken in designing the underslab wick drain system to prevent water infiltration of the native high-plastic soil.
Next door, the Windermere Green Bottle Depot is a 21,000 sq ft state-of-the-art, two-storey facility, complete with five overhead doors and a loading dock ramp. The conventional steel structure includes a 4,600 sq ft second floor /mezzanine of offices and storage rooms, a locker room, and a staff lunchroom. The Windermere Bottle Depot can serve 17 customers at once, and provisions have been made for future expansion as well.
