The Blatchford Kitchen Addition at Fort Edmonton Park involved the construction of a state-of-the-art commercial catering kitchen within the historic Blatchford Field Air Hangar, creating a centralized food preparation facility capable of supporting the park’s growing event and hospitality operations. As the existing kitchen was no longer adequate to serve the needs of multiple venues and large-scale functions, the new kitchen was designed to provide the capacity, efficiency, and functionality required to support weddings, corporate events, community gatherings, and special occasions throughout the park. Serving as the primary catering hub for the 9,000-square-foot Blatchford Field Air Hangar, which accommodates up to 500 guests, as well as several other unique event venues within Fort Edmonton Park, the project successfully integrated modern commercial kitchen infrastructure within a historic setting, ensuring the facility can continue to deliver exceptional culinary and event experiences for years to come.
