One of the most impressive aspects of this project was Carlson Construction’s ability to support ongoing operations and public access to the facilities during active construction. Carlson’s expertise, dedication and problem-solving capabilities were instrumental in ensuring our project was completed, despite challenges that impacted both our budget and timeline. Notably, our project faced unexpected issues, including extensive soil remediation, rising material costs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to entirely replace the existing truckstop building we intended to renovate. Carlson truly worked in partnership with us to overcome these challenges, resulting in a product our Nation can be proud of for generations.

As we are a member-owned club, it was vital that we limited disruption during this project. The facility was required to tie into an existing building, which was operating 18 hours a day, making our project unique. The Carlson team understood the impacts that construction would have on our member experience. Risk and mitigation plans were discussed during the preconstruction phase and the Carlson team took time to ensure those communications continued, providing extremely transparent discussions with our facilities team throughout the entire construction and post-construction process.

As a multisport recreational and event facility with nearly 220,000 square feet of usable space, our challenges as we navigated through COVID protocols along with a transitioning Board of Directors and rotating management team inherently created constant change that Carlson Construction handled with extreme professionalism. The result of the dedication and laborious efforts of Carlson Construction has given our members a world class facility that they will enjoy for multiple generations.
