Ritchie Market is a 17,000 sq. ft., two-storey mixed-use commercial development located at the corner of 96 Street and 76 Avenue in Edmonton. Designed as a collaborative business collective, the building was constructed to accommodate multiple local businesses within a shared environment, including a coffee roaster and café, butcher shop, brewery, restaurant, market, event space, and meeting facilities. The building features a large outdoor patio, extensive bicycle parking, and a stainless-steel hop trellis integrated into the exterior design to support brewery operations. Constructed using a combination of brick, concrete, wood, structural steel, and corrugated metal, the facility incorporates exposed mechanical and electrical systems that contribute to its industrial character. A cogeneration unit was included to provide efficient on-site production of electricity and heating, helping to reduce overall energy consumption and operating costs. The project has become a prominent commercial and community destination within Edmonton’s Ritchie neighbourhood.
